A PLACE THAT OFFERS LIFESt. Paul United Church of Christ, 115 West B Street, Belleville, IL
A congregation that is truly being "church" brings people into a loving, life-giving relationship with God and others that is transformational. When a congregation is truly being "church", people find hope. They experience belonging. They extend and receive forgiveness. They are valued, even as God values them. This is the basic nature of the kingdom of God, where relationships model the very best aspects of family.
The kingdom of God was important to Jesus. It was the centerpiece of his teaching. At St. Paul, we are doing our best to live into that kingdom. We think our commitment to this is evidenced in the shape and diversity of our ministry, and that it finds expression through our ongoing partnership with the Community Interfaith Food Pantry, Neighbors for Renewal, Beacon of Belleville, and the Franklin Neighborhood Community Association. |
