The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 pm in the upper room. The purpose of prayer shawls is to provide a visual symbol of the surrounding protection and healing nature of the prayers behind them. We have also been making baptismal blankets to be given out during baptisms. Beginning May of 2010 we are proud to be in partnership with Kozy Kaps 4 kids in making hats for children and youth undergoing Cancer treatments. If you knit or crochet and would like to join us we would love to have you.

"Shawls ... made for centuries universal and embracing,

symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving, God.

They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace,

mother, hug, shelter and beautify.

Those who have received these shawls have been

uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to

fly above their troubles..."
