Purpose of the Board:

The Christian Growth Board plans, develops, and implements programs for the enrichment of the spiritual life of the Congregation. It encourages all Members to be faithful, invites and helps to assimilate new Members into the life of the Congregation, and maintains the membership roles.

Time Commitment:

The Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:15 p.m. in the Pastor’s office, following the plenary session at 7:00 p.m. in Heritage Hall. Meetings usually last approximately 90 minutes. Board members contribute time outside of the meeting towards special projects related to the Board responsibilities and assist with and attend the New Member classes 3 – 4 Saturday mornings per year.

Gifts, Talents and/or Special Skills Desirable:

This board has such a diverse set of responsibilities that, whatever your talents, you can contribute to the ministry of the church through this Board. Our members are friendly, caring, organized people who are interested in nurturing membership.

Why this Ministry is Important in the Life of the Church:

This board attempts to anticipate and meet the needs of our diverse membership through projects that attempt to:

  • Describe to potential new members the life and mission of St. Paul in such a way as to allow them to evaluate if their spiritual needs will be fulfilled by our community
  • Inform potential and current members about opportunities for involvement within our St. Paul family
  • Provide opportunities for new members to immediately and comfortably participate within our established community
  • Generate an atmosphere of welcome for all
  • Consciously evaluate the changing needs of our congregation by prayerful and creative consideration
  • Provide written and electronic materials to support the informational needs of our membership, such as brochures and website content

There will be one worship service at 9:00 a.m.

There will be no children's Sunday School during the Summer schedule
Visit Heritage Hall after the service for fellowship, coffee and donuts.
