Mission Statement: To eliminate hunger within the community and to make a commitment to consider the total spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of individuals and identify available resources to assist them.

The Community Interfaith Food Pantry is a nonprofit charitable organization governed by a Board of Directors whose members are selected by the participating churches. Additional food support comes from organizations, local businesses, and individuals. The pantry is operated by a volunteer base of wonderfully dedicated people ranging in age from 12 years to 89 years young.

WAYS TO SUPPORT:

1. Volunteer: You can volunteer once a week, once a month, or whenever it fits into your schedule. To volunteer, contact Jerry Messick at (618) 210-8513.

2. Assist in separating the food and stocking the pantry on the food drives the second Saturday of May and the third Saturday in November.

3. Support the Item of the Month.

4. Make a cash gift designated for the food pantry to help purchase meat, poultry, and oleo to complete the food packages. Checks may be written to: Community Interfaith Food Pantry.

5. Donate excess vegetables and fruits from your garden to enhance our food packages.

6. Organize a food collection through your civic or social club.

Hours of Operation:  Monday, Wednesday and Friday--1:00-3:00 pm

Tuesday and Saturday--9:00-11:00 am

Eligibility Requirements:  To be eligible for assistance, one must live in Belleville or Swansea.  For the first visit, patron must show a picture ID, proof of residence (such as a utility bill, medical card, or occupancy permit), and a social security card for each member in the household (a birth certificate will suffice for very young children).  After the first visit, patrons must show picture ID and proof of residence.

Did you know that you can listen to the St. Paul Sunday worship service from anywhere in the world?  Just click on Listen to KSTL at 8:30 a.m. or 11:00 p.m. CST on Sunday and a window will open with KSTL's broadcast.

Visit Heritage Hall after the service for fellowship, coffee and donuts.
